Hemisphere Freight Services Limited was incorporated in New Zealand in 1997 offering international and domestic freight forwarding services.

In 2000, Hemisphere expanded to Sydney, Australia with the formation of Hemisphere Freight Services Pty Ltd, and then in 2003 the Melbourne branch was opened.

The company was established by Blane Caulfield and John Crook to incorporate their key business beliefs:

This enables you as the shipper or importer, to entrust all your forwarding requirements with one company, ensuring seamless lines of communication and customer service.

With the numerous freight forwarders in Australia and New Zealand using the same vessels and aircraft, it can be difficult to distinguish between service levels and products that are promoted.

At Hemisphere, we believe that we are distinguishable, as we are a MASTER LOADER of sea freight services.

By being a master loader, Hemisphere deals direct with shipping companies, consolidating LCL (less than a container load) cargo from both freight forwarders and clients into our own containers, which are shipped within regular sailing schedules both to and from Australia and New Zealand.

By dealing direct with shipping companies and container unpack stations, we set our own freight availability standards, which other freight forwarders enjoy.
